Beginning in 1972, owner Bobby Holland began his career in dry cleaning working part time as a counter clerk, dealing with customers face to face, In 1973, he graduated from high school and entered college, still working at the dry cleaners part time. During his college years, he began gathering valuable experience by working in every department within the plant, mastering each facet of the operation, including spotting, finishing, laundry, and also administrative duties.

By 1978, he had completed his college degree in business administration at Old Dominion University, and was managing the entire plant's operation. During this period he attended courses administered by the International Fabricare Institute, and had the opportunity to work and learn under many of the area's master spotters and laundry operators. This valuable 'hands on experience/training' gave Bobby the skills he needed to successfully open an operation of his own.

Today, Holland Cleaners & it's staff, under the direction of Bobby Holland, provides superior quality dry cleaning and laundry service to it's many customers. Holland Cleaners also processes delicate beaded and sequined garments not only for their customers, but for several area dry cleaners and retailers. The experience staff also handles stage costuming, wedding gown restoration, drapery cleaning (including take down and re-hang service) and many more services.

Finally, with the addition in 2001 of Office/Home Pick-up & Delivery Service, Holland Cleaners was able to provide the convenience many of our customers demanded. Today, Holland Cleaners is providing service not only to the southside of Hampton Roads, but also the peninsula, including Hampton, Newport News & Williamsburg.
